OASIS OF SWEDEN
Visual Identity
The challenge was to create a visual and conceptual antithesis to Swedish culture, and I decided to take a unique approach by imagining a fictional country that had been transformed by an apocalyptic event. In this world, global warming had caused the sun to take over, creating a scorching desert where the sun was no longer a source of life, but instead had become a curse.
In this new world, darkness was a rare commodity, and the locals prayed for rain and the arrival of the moon. Desperate times had led some to even dabble in black magic to try and restore balance to their lives.
To capture the feeling of this new world, the visual design was inspired by the fading sun.
I worked tirelessly to create a look and feel that would evoke the sense of a world in crisis, with a color palette and visual language that reflected the harsh and unforgiving landscape of this apocalyptic world.
Overall, this project was a unique and exciting challenge, and I am proud of the work I produced. By creating a fictional world that was so far removed from the familiar context of Swedish culture, I was able to explore the new visual and conceptual territory and push myself creatively in new and exciting ways.
